Hello, World. These are my feelings

Hello, World and welcome to my blog. My name is Cole the Renaissance. I'm a painter and photographer local to San Diego, CA. My art focuses on feelings and how these feelings relate to states of dissonance. Many of the things we feel can be boiled down to "enjoy" and "don't enjoy", yet our expressed reactions are much more visceral than these two statements. These secondary emotions can lead us down self-built roads to our own self-imposed dissonance.

The arts have become an outlet to resolve these secondary emotions that left me feeling numb to the world for a period. Now that I feel everything, it's important to me I make sure to move others to feel themselves. Whether it be joy, anger, or the exuberance experience during Solange's When I Get Home album, all of these emotions are a beautiful part of our existence and I cherish each moment in the present. Moreover, these feelings are a radical act in a world that molds us to be numb.
