EXPRESSING AND UNDERSTANDING

The lunar new year festival in City Heights epitomizes the neighborhood. The location, at the center of City Heights, stands at the confluence of several immigrant populations. The festival, although namely Chinese, is simultaneously a Vietnamese Lunar New Year. This blending of cultures is what makes City Heights the neighborhood it is. Moreover, without the leaders in the community who care enough to make events like this, the community wouldn't be as strong as it is today.
