A core element in our existence, dirt gives us life, sustenance, and, at times, pain. It is the literal breeding ground for life and the foundation upon which our feet rest. This painting is an ode to this beautiful and uninteresting element in our lives. Taking a macro and microscopic view, this piece resembles the view looking down on the Anza-Borrego Desert and your view as you looking onto bare ground in detail.
