EXPRESSING AND UNDERSTANDING

Purple clouds rested softly on the supple summer sky
The fiery rays brushed their surface, granting them a halo
Drifting towards their divine end
Petrified wood lay below my tired feet
Rusty nails protrude from the dock’s surface making their escape
Mosquitos search for sustenance before the sun creeps down
Unfamiliar rhythms emanate from the speaker
We suddenly gather for a movement expose
Our audience today are the waves that come our way
